I grew up in Boston and went to college five miles away from home at Tufts University where I majored in English and graduated in 1996. Three years later I went to law school, in Eugene, at the University of Oregon. If I could put a nickel in my 401K each time someone asked me why I went from Boston to Eugene, I would be set to retire. There's no 'eureka' answer to that question other than that I thought Eugene would be a cool place to go to law school, and I was right. That's where I met Christian Linville who now works one office to the west of where I work. We met on the ping pong tables, and after I saw his wicked backhand I knew he was a force to be reckoned with. Again, I was right. After law school, I came to Seattle to get my LL.M. in taxation at the University of Washington. I love Seattle and I'm here to stay.
